Welcome to Retrace! These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Retrace application ("the App"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.

⚠️ Important Financial Disclaimer

Retrace is strictly a journaling and review tool for your personal investment logic. It does NOT provide any financial advice, investment recommendations, or trading signals. You are solely responsible for all financial decisions and trades you make. Financial markets involve high risk, and Retrace or its developers shall not be held liable for any financial losses or damages incurred directly or indirectly from using this App.

1. Data Ownership and Responsibility

As outlined in our Privacy Policy, your data is stored locally on your device. You retain full ownership of all content you input into the App.

  • It is your responsibility to ensure your device is secure.
  • Because data is stored locally, deleting the App or losing your device may result in permanent data loss unless you have enabled iCloud Sync (Retrace Pro) or manual device backups. We cannot recover lost data for you.

2. Subscriptions (Retrace Pro)

Retrace offers optional premium features through an auto-renewing subscription ("Retrace Pro"). By subscribing, you agree to the following terms, which are managed by Apple Inc.:

  • Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account at the confirmation of purchase.
  • Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
  • You can manage and cancel your subscriptions by going to your App Store account settings after purchase.
  • Any unused portion of a free trial period, if offered, will be forfeited when you purchase a subscription.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the App for any illegal or unauthorized purpose. You must not attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or hack the App, or interfere with its standard functionality.

4. Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, code, graphics, and interface, is the property of Retrace and its developers. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the App without our prior written consent.

5. Limitation of Liability

The App is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the App will be error-free or uninterrupted. We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App.

6. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of any significant changes by updating the "Effective Date" at the top of this page or through an in-app notice. Your continued use of the App constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
